Housekeeping is a process of continuous cleaning in the factory and the maintenance of the work area in a clean manner is called housekeeping. The production capacity of the industry can be increased through a good housekeeping.

Advantages of housekeeping:-

1.     Reduced a fire condition.

2.     Property damage can be overcome through a good housekeeping.

3.     Tools and material can be easily found and production capacity can be increased.

4.     A good housekeeping can eliminate health related occupational diseases.

The following process can be done to bring good housekeeping methods in an industry.

1.   Short:- the equipment needed in our work area should be kept in the same area. the equipment which is not needed on the field should be removed from there or either put a red mark in it and keep them separately , in this way we can increase the housekeeping through the process of short.

2.  Set :- all the equipment needed in our work area which we use during work should be stored in the set in a systematic order.

3.  Shine:- all equipment placed systematically in the workspace should be clean.so that all the equipment can be used in a timely manner

4. Standardize:- about the three methods that we have learned. He should use the relevant documents to implement them in the field so that all these rules are always in operation.

5.  Sustain:- all the rules of 5s we have read about this rule should be in any industry. For a good housekeeping this process must go on continuously.
